Spent the weekend doing various Halloween activities. Saturday night began with a San Diego Ghost Tour with my "Ultra" girls. It was hilarious and too much fun. Boo for me for not getting pictures but this was the outfit I was wearing minus my costume, a pair of cat ears. I'm quite the master of disguise. Then I headed off to my sister, Melissa's, Halloween party which consisted of fun games and too much yummy food. It's always a blast.
I love leather. I love leather jackets, pants, shoes, accessories. I love the look and the tight feel. It's so soft, warm, and snug like it hugs the body. Many of the items I'm referring to are actually pleather, I still like to keep them in the "leather category".
Let's now gain inspiration from some pictures of more leathery goodness.
I want to post more about it but I am really digging the rocker-chick look based on Lisbeth Salander, heroine from Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. The costume designer for he charater is creating a line from H&M actually
jeans from some boutique on Oahu, thrifted blouse, H&M blazer
I need some glamorous outdoor shots asasp. Something about me in the kitchen chilling with a trashcan just doesn't really make for excellent picture taking. However I have yet to unpack my tripod so this is just how it's got to be for us. I assume we will survive.
Tomorrow I am going on a ghost tour with my former (I hate saying that) coworkers from Ultra Beauty Supply and Salon. I am beyond excited for the tour and the margaritas to follow! I'll let you know if I get into any spooky situations. I'm sure I won't but Lavonne (one of my coworkers) and I are obsessed with the paranormal, so we will have our fingers crossed.
F21 grafitti shirt and cardi, Hollister shorts, heels I got from a boutique in San Diego, hat from some guy's stand in Long Beach
Spent the day trying to work out over the phone with my friend Emily and unpacking.
One of my favorite looks is "fancy grunge". To me this translates into a beautiful mix of messy t-shirts and costume jewelry necklaces, and oversized boyfriend cardis and crazy heels. The point is to mix it up and have fun with fashion. Be creative and comfortable in whatever form suits you.
thrifted knitted shirt, (Gap) shorts, and shoe belt
I spent the day unpacking and talking to all my greatest friends. Or trying to get ahold of some of them. Then I spent a couple hours tanning and a hanging out with our repair man while he made fun of my shoe collection.
This outfit is inspired by brightly colored shorts. I found these at a thrift store recently and loved the high waisted look, later I found this knitted sweater/shirt and was drawn to it because of the extra-low detail, and how could I resist the shoe-belt? Brown leather with gold shoe cut outs? So me and so perfect. Orange, brown, and white for fall. How perfectly cliche.
thrifted poncho, Bebe jeans and boots, 2b bracelet, h&m jacket
I am just about moved in. Found an amazing apartment complex that came straight out of my dreams. I found a great unit here a couple weeks ago and when I went back to show it to a new friend of mine the property manager let me know they had a second apartment that would be coming available. However, this new apartment lacked a second bathroom... instead it had a walk in closet. Needless to say, my mind was made up.
It has been cloudy here the last 2 days. I love the cold, fall weather. Fall to me is wearing layers of black, long vintage dresses, and messy hair.

I am home.
Flew into LAX a week ago Sunday. Leaving Oahu was pretty hard for me. I am happy to be back with friends and family but I made a new life for myself on my little island. I am going to miss so many things, my family at Eyes Plus, my Bebe girls, Megan and Sandy (til they come home), my AZ!!, my little apartment, and all the Waikiki adventures.
Time to make some new adventures.
